I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (and shared them first in this post!), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick .
What’s the price?
When I bought my pair in April, I paid $385.43, but their regular price is around $514.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending on their level of detail.
Are they true to size?
I gold goose shoes found them to fit true to size, at least for me.
They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Yes! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also be smart.

How is the fit?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36. Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they help with airflow. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Also, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong.
Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
